Stellantis and six others: Promise to set up more than 30,000 EV charging stations in US and CA from

July 2023. Stellantis NV (Fiat Chyrsler Automobiles NV and Peugeot S.A.) together with BMW Group, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz Group will create a joint venture that will expand access to high-powered charging in North America. At least 30,000 high-powered charge points are promised targets to be installed in urban and highway locations.

The new operating firm will provide charging capability, digital integration, appealing locations, various amenities while charging, and use renewable energy. Stations will be accessible to all electric vehicle (EV) customers, offering both Combined Charging System (CCS) and North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors.

First stations are scheduled to open in the summer of 2024.
