"Let me do myself the negotiation" MERCOSUR bets

January 2026. The veto of the EU-Mercosur follows prior notice as B2Bioworld documents, Lobbyists for the European beef and rice sectors won over their national policymakers. After decades of negotiations and dependence on trade with the EU, individual Mercosur members are taking control of their own economic future – with the help of China.
